The lamps were designed to be a glowing accent to any room. Most of my lamps
were designed for specific rooms--guest rooms, master bedroom, or a baby's room. Some I call three-way lamps because
they have a night light built into the design which give enough light (shining through the small openings) to navigate in
the dark. There are not very many lamps for sale, gourd or otherwise, that have a night light built into the lamp.

- Natural Fall Leaves Lamp
The pear-shaped
gourd is topped with real fall leaves which were adhered to the gourd by the decoupage medium. The attachment of the base
is ringed with a textured clay strip which was colored to compliment the leaves. The lamp measures approximately 12 inches
across and 18 inches tall without the shade.

LA15 - On the Warpath
This gourd is mounted on a piece of concrete which I chiseled to the desired shape. The gourd itself
was first pyroengraved, and then colored with inks, oil paint, leather dye and acrylic paints and metallic Pearl Ex. It was
then embellished with six feathers. The desert was painted with sand mixed with a varnish. It stands 16" tall
without the 10" harp and it has a three-way socket. With a lampshade, it measures 27".

LA17 - Freeform Gourd Lamp
AWARD WINNER!
This lamp was designed for the master bedroom or guest room, and is made from a bottle gourd
with another piece of gourd added for the base of the lamp which is weighted. The lamp was first pyroengraved and then
followed by abstract cutouts throughout the gourd (to let the nightlight shine through) and finally embellished with inks,
dyes, metallic leafing, and decoupaged with handmade paper. The backside of the lamp has another cutout which I hinged so
that changing the night light bulb would be no problem. The lampshade was dyed with fabric paint to match one of the
lamp's colors and then metallic leafing was applied. The lamp with shade measures 23" high x 12" wide. Price...$250

LA16 - Stylized Turquoise Lamp
A stylistic contemporary designed three-way lamp that is a fashion returned from the 40's. It is a table lamp,
a night light, and also a combination of table lamp and night light all in one lamp. One click of the switch and you
have a normal table lamp; a second click and you have a two-way lamp wherein the lamp and night light are both illuminated;
a third click and just the night light is on. It is a perfect lamp for your guest room or any room in your house.
There are cutouts throughout the lamp to allow the night light to shine through. This particular lamp is decorated with
inks and decoupaged with handmade papers. The colors of the inks are blue, green, turquoise, and violet; the handmade
paper is a combination of all of these colors. The backside of the lamp has a hinged section to make it easy the change
the inside night light. The lamp with shade measures 30 1/2" tall.

LA18 - Baby Lamp
This round (7" diameter) gourd was first wood burned and then the background of 3 different shades of blue acrylic paint
was applied to both inside side and out. Baby's name was then cut out of the gourd. The wood burned designs were
then painted with inks and acrylic paint. The inside of the gourd was covered with a glow in the dark paint. Finally,
sand plus varnish was applied outside, inside, and down the driftwood and seashells were then imbedded. The
night lamp sits on a piece of driftwood that was hollowed out for the gourd to rest in. To complete the night lamp concept,
electrical wiring was added (I did not want to use a tea light inside because this is for a baby's room--that would be dangerous.
The night lamp in totality measures 10" tall and 8" wide. The night lamp is a one-of-a kind very unique gift for your
new arrival.
