Each piece of jewelry is handmade and designed to be unique, never to be recreated exactly the same way again.  My jewelry collection is truly inspired by nature.  The mediums which I have used include natural products--gourds, clay, and wood.  Most of the beads that hold the pendants evolve from nature as well.

In this collection, various gourd shard pieces were either designed by cutting the gourd in to specific shapes or stomping on large pieces of a gourd and the way they broke apart inspired my designs.  Some of the creations are pyroengraved then accented with oils, dyes, inks,
and/or acrylic paints. Some pieces are colored with dyes, inks, oil paints and acrylics and embellished with semi precious stones or wire wrapped.  Sizes vary from 1 1/2" high to 3" in diameter.

Each pendant is backed with leather.

The necklace chains may be made from handmade clay, glass, wooden, or semi precious stones.

GJ42 - Multicolored Gourd Collar

The multitude of colors of this necklace will enhance your solid colored outfit.  Whatever color you are wearing, this necklace will probably have that color in it and will make the necklace stand out.  So as not to detract from the necklace, I have used solid black flat beads for the chain.

Price:  $45

 GJ33 - Three-Piece Green

The necklace was shaped to resemble a collar and is quite attractive with either a turtleneck or scooped neck blouse.  It was created with three sections of gourd shards.  First it was pyroengraved, then inks were used, and finally the copper metallic leafing was applied. The “chain” consists of stones and beads which are contained within the collar.

Price:  $50

GJ-41 - English Shield

AWARD WINNER!

Though quite similar to GJ-39, it is not exactly alike—because no two gourds are identical in shape or color.  When coloring two different gourds with the exact same color of ink, they will turn out differently.  This necklace, too, has the main color as a dark green, but that’s where the similarity ends.  The chain is comprised of black and beige glass beads and rectangular ceramic beads all of which compliment the shield.  The three stone pieces hanging from the shield are also complimentary with the shield.

Price:  $50

GJ-43 - Crescent Simplicity

Personally, this is one of my favorite necklaces, primarily because of its simplicity.  No gingerbread…just elegant.  The crescent-shaped gourd piece was first colored with artprint brown ink and then rubbed with copper, bronze, and gold metallic pigments, thus giving the piece an iridescent cast.  The chain has ceramic beads which match the gourd colors perfectly.  This necklace is an eye catcher!

Price:  $45
