Not only do these birdhouses and birdfeeders provide shelter/food
for our feathered friends, they also usually become a focal point in your
garden or even in your home.
The birdhouses and birdfeeders are made out of a variety
of hard shell gourds. They are cut for a 2" entrance (or to your specification) and drainage holes are drilled in the
bottom. They are then cleaned and sanded inside and out and then left natural or dyed. Then the designs are wood,
etched, inked, dyed or painted onto the gourd. Finally, I finish the outside with many coats of polyurethane
to assure protection against the elements. Both the birdhouses and birdfeeders can be created with or without perches
(buyer's preference). A leather lance is provided for hanging. Each one is unique and is one of a kind as all
designs are original. In addition, I would be happy to design a birdhouse or birdfeeder according you your own theme and
specifications.
TIP: All of these pieces are sealed to protect them
from the outdoor elements.
Each year, you should spray them with a few coats of polyurethane to
keep them lasting for years to come.
